About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District has issued a Special Notice for federal contracting opportunities related to 2024 flood response and recovery efforts. The notice seeks interested contractors and suppliers for temporary levees, levee repairs, and construction materials such as riprap, sand, gravel, and sandbags, primarily in western Iowa, eastern and central Nebraska, and eastern South Dakota.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to gather information from interested parties rather than to generate immediate questions or submit qualifications or pricing. Contractors are instructed to provide basic company information including capabilities and geographical areas of interest. Solicitations may be issued on an expedited basis with short response times, and will likely not be advertised on SAM.gov. Eligibility criteria are not specified, but the Corps intends to issue competitively bid, firm fixed-price contracts for the required flood response and recovery work.
