THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES
NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE INTENT
The Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition Operations Branch, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Item purchase order to the Arizona Geological Survey at the University of Arizona for the fault studies of Sugarloaf and Carefree faults located in central Arizona. Reclamation has found the Arizona Geological Survey to be the only source able to successfully provide the services that will satisfy the agency's requirements based on their extensive experience and previous mapping.

The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
Vendors that have questions regarding the sole source nature of the requirement or vendors that believe they can fully provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contract Specialist, Amanda Somerville, within 5 calendar days of this notice.
