Update #19 ·
The Contractor shall conduct testing, evaluation and data analysis to compare the baseline Sustainable, Mobile, Alternative, and Renewable Technologies (SMART) Energy Efficient Deployable Shelter (SEEDS) to the improved SEEDS shelter performance. This proposed effort will validate the development of the SEEDS and determine the energy savings in comparison to the baseline shelter.
Update #18 ·

Update #17 ·
Demonstration of an innovative approach using a high efficiency dehumidification system (HEDS) that reuses waste heat generated during the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system's cooling processes. HEDS will drasticially reduce the energy required to cool and dehumidify ventilation air and reduce biological growth in buildings at a lower cost than traditional HVAC systems.

Update #15 ·
This contracting action is the result of a successful proposal received under Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Number W912HZ-15-BAA-01. Colorado State University (CSU) submitted a proposal titled "Changes in Climate and its Effect on Timing of Snowmelt and Intensity-Duration-Frequency Curves" under BAA research area CRREL-2. CSU proposes to: 1) develop an improved understanding of snow accumulation, melt, and runoff for historical and future climate scenarios at regional and watershed scales, and 2) to produce current and future intensity-duration-frequency curves for the study locations. Study locations are Fairbanks, AK, Yakima, WA and Colorado Springs, CO.
Update #14 ·
Provide support for multidisciplinary scientific mission of ERDC in the areas of energy, enviornment, computer science, and cultural resources.
Update #13 ·
The objective of this research effort is to develop methods to detect and diagnose facility problems that degrade facility energy efficiency performance in the absence of site-specific information about occupant behavior, building envelope, mechanical systems or electrical systems.
