About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure multiple military components, including servo controls, marine propellers, propeller blades, and hub and cylinder assemblies. The solicitation involves National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for various equipment with specific quantities ranging from 20 to 237 units per item. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302, which allows for limited competition. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date to identify their capabilities and submit proposals, though the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation documents will be available through the Defense Standardization Program Automation Office (DSPAO) and can be accessed via the ASSIST database online.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. Requested Return to Activity Times (RTAT) for the various components range from 235 to 777 days, with delivery terms set as FOB Origin. The total quantity of items spans 455 units across four different NSN categories, suggesting a significant procurement effort. The government has explicitly stated it will not use commercial item acquisition policies for this solicitation, though vendors may still propose commercial alternatives within 15 days of the notice. Interested parties can obtain additional information and technical documentation through the ASSIST Help Desk, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format for download or review.
