About this opportunity
The 162nd Wing Contracting Office of the Arizona Army National Guard is seeking qualified sources for the removal and replacement of an engine in a 2003 Ford F350 Super Duty vehicle located within 30 miles of Tucson International Airport. This pre-solicitation notice is a Request for Information (RFI) designed to identify potential contractors and their business size classifications, such as small/large businesses, HUBZone, or 8(a) firms. Contractors will be evaluated based on Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 9.104-1 responsibility criteria, which include having adequate financial resources, ability to meet performance schedules, satisfactory past performance, business ethics, and necessary technical capabilities. The solicitation uses NAICS code 811111 with a $9 million size standard and Product Service Code J023. Interested parties must submit their company information, including entity name, address, point of contact details, and optional SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier/CAGE Code to 162msc.162msc.contracting@us.af.mil by the date specified on SAM.gov.
This is a non-set-aside opportunity with no predetermined contract value or specific quantity of services outlined in the pre-solicitation notice. The RFI is purely informational, and no contract will be awarded directly from this request. No reimbursement will be provided for costs associated with responding to the information request. The geographic scope is limited to contractors within 30 miles of Tucson International Airport, which may naturally restrict the pool of potential bidders. Contractors are expected to demonstrate expertise in automotive repair, specifically engine replacement for Ford vehicles. The timing suggests a potential solicitation may be forthcoming, though no specific timeline for the eventual contract award is provided in the current documentation. Interested parties should carefully review the full requirements and be prepared to showcase their technical and operational capabilities in automotive engine replacement services.
