About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure three ship propeller hubs (NSN 7H 2010 012480378 M2, TDP Version 007) through a single-source contract action under FAR 6.302-1 authority. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source due to proprietary data restrictions, as it does not own the rights to the technical data needed to purchase this part from additional sources and has determined that obtaining such data or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical. Although this is a single-source procurement, all responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to demonstrate their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Interested parties should reference Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and other technical documentation available through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at DAPS in Philadelphia, PA, or through ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/. The deadline for proposal submission and consideration is January 22, 2026, which is 45 days from the notice publication date of December 8, 2025.
No set-aside designations apply to this procurement, and no incumbent contractor or specific award value is identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The procurement requires delivery of three units on a FOB Origin basis, with the propeller hub classified under NAICS 336612 (Boat Building) and PSC 2010 (Ship and Boat Propulsion Components). Offerors requiring technical documentation not available for download through ASSIST-Quick Search may contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179 (DSN: 442-2667) or mail requests to DLA Document Services in Philadelphia, PA. The relatively short pre-solicitation window of 16 days before the formal solicitation period ends suggests that interested parties should begin gathering technical specifications and capability documentation immediately to meet the January 22, 2026 deadline.
