About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking potential contractors to repair 8 aircraft landing gear components (NIIN 001796510, P/N 937958-103) for a Foreign Military Sales program with Taiwan. Interested contractors must submit a comprehensive capability statement to christina.m.foley5.civ@us.navy.mil that includes company details, part number eligibility, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) status, technical repair capabilities, small business classification, and point of contact information. Contractors must be pre-approved by the government's design control activity, which requires submission of detailed technical data outlined in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure. All proposals must be received within 45 days of the publication date, and only previously approved sources will be ultimately solicited for the contract. Questions or comments can be directed to Christina Foley via email or phone.

The pre-solicitation notice does not specify a particular small business set-aside, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. While the exact award value is not disclosed, the scope involves repairing eight specific aircraft parts for a foreign military sales agreement. Potential contractors must demonstrate precise technical capabilities to repair the specified components, with a clear understanding that government source approval is mandatory prior to contract award. The procurement timeline extends from January 13, 2025, to June 20, 2025, providing contractors approximately five months to prepare and submit their qualifications. Contractors not currently approved must submit comprehensive technical documentation for review, with the understanding that if source approval cannot be processed quickly, the award might be expedited based on fleet support needs.
