About this opportunity

The Department of the Army National Guard is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify potential contractors for the renovation and construction of a Fire Crash/Rescue Station Addition/Alteration at the 122d Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project encompasses substantial renovations to the existing 10,664 square foot single-story facility, construction of two independent additions totaling approximately 6,940 square feet, and installation of critical systems including fire protection, HVAC, lightning protection, and a Monaco D-21 central fire alarm monitoring system. Key requirements include the construction of an ICC 500-2020 compliant storm shelter, installation of sprinkler and alarm systems throughout the facility, sustainability tracking and submittals, and adherence to government-provided designs and specifications. Interested contractors must submit a Sources Sought Response Form by November 28, 2025, providing company registration details, CAGE code, DUNS number, and socio-economic status certification. The government will use contractor responses to determine qualified sources prior to potential solicitation, with the evaluation considering bonding capability and small business credentials.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business entities meeting the established criteria. The project magnitude is anticipated to fall between $5,000,000 and an unspecified upper limit, representing a significant construction undertaking. Contractors must demonstrate bonding capability with a minimum bonding amount of $1 million to be considered for participation. No incumbent contractor information has been provided in this Sources Sought notice. Responding to this market research posting does not guarantee inclusion in any future formal solicitation, and interested parties are advised to monitor SAM.gov for subsequent announcements, as this represents a reposting of the original Sources Sought notice originally issued on February 4, 2025.
