About this opportunity
NASA's National Space Science Center is conducting a sole-source procurement for one month of powder bed fusion development of oxide dispersion strengthened alloys, with a capability statement deadline of August 26, 2026. The Government intends to award to North American Manufacturing Pros LLC under FAR 12.102(a) and will evaluate capability statements solely to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis; the final decision to compete or proceed sole-source remains at the Government's discretion.
Work will be performed at NASA Glenn Research Center. The effort requires dedicated access to an EOS M280 laser powder bed fusion system operating a minimum of 432 hours per month at 60% print utilization to develop and optimize parameters for specialty alloys including ORCAlloy-14-TiN, GRX-810, GRX-810+, and Alloy Z ODS, achieving 99.9% relative density. The vendor must also supply a minimum of 120 kilograms of GRX-810 powder conforming to NASA specifications with full traceability certifications. Performance involves collaboration with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.
Interested organizations must submit capability statements in writing by 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on August 26, 2026. Quotes will not be considered or evaluated; only capability statements are requested. All correspondence must reference the notice ID in the subject line. Oral communications are not acceptable. The procurement will be treated as a commercial item acquisition under FAR Part 12 (NAICS 561990).
