This specialized textile product falls under NAICS code 314910 (Textile Bag and Canvas Mills) and PSC code 8340 (Tents and Tarpaulins). The tent will be delivered FOB Destination to Washington, DC. Interested vendors must demonstrate their capability to meet the FBI's specifications for this electromagnetic shielding equipment. There are no specific evaluation criteria detailed in this pre-solicitation notice, though standard government contracting principles for simplified acquisitions will apply. Vendors interested in competing for this opportunity must email their intent to the Contracting Officer, Alexa Moates (acmoates@fbi.gov), and Contract Specialist, Lakeita Wilson (lrwilson3@fbi.gov) by March 27, 2026, with "Faraday Tent" in the subject line. The RFQ will be issued on or about March 27, 2026, and telephonic inquiries will not be accepted.
This is a 100% Small Business set-aside, making it exclusive to firms meeting the Small Business Administration's size standard of 500 employees or fewer. No incumbent contractor or current vendor information is referenced in this notice. The estimated contract value is less than $25,000, placing it well below the simplified acquisition threshold and enabling direct solicitation from pre-qualified vendors. The acquisition requires delivery of a single Faraday Tent unit. Vendors responding to this pre-solicitation notice may receive the RFQ directly via email, though response does not guarantee inclusion in the solicitation package; the Government reserves the right to determine the final number of sources solicited. If adequate competition is not received from direct solicitation, the RFQ will be posted to SAM.gov for broader public competition.
