Statement of Work
8232, Direct Operations Package
1.0 Introduction. MSOT 8232, Company H, 2D Marine Special Operations Battalion is seeking an outside vendor for its Direct Operations Package from 14-22 August 2011. The government requires Special Forces mission specific capable facility that will support 16 Marines and enable them to become more proficient in theatre. It has been identified that the facilities aboard a DoD facility cannot provide the diversity of range capabilities and flexibility within close proximity in conjunction with the opportunity to train heloborne operations while concurrently meeting requirements for training for a time condensed Direct Operations package due to MSOT 8232’s training schedule requirements. With the Direct Operations package only encompassing eleven days due to other training to meet minimum skills requirements, it will be essential to be able to use multiple range training facilities concurrently that allow the MSOT to maximize training time and meet their required T/ R standards without the restrictions, competition, and support requirements that are required by local DoD facilities. The outside vendors’ venue will enable MSOT 8232 to train to standard while providing MSOT 8232 economy of effort, flexibility, and freedom of maneuver to maximize time available to conduct training, providing more troops to task. MSOT 8232 (Marine Special Operation Team) will henceforth be referred to as the “Government.” Vendor will henceforth be referred to as the “Contractor”.
