STATEMENT OF WORK

INSTALLATION OF SPRAY FOAM INSULATION TO THE BUTLER BUILDING WALLS

Horicon National Wildlife Refuge November 15, 2021

1. GENERAL:

The Horicon National Wildlife Refuge Butler building needs spray-in insulation to provide for a heated building that recently had a heating system installed. 2. BACKGROUND:

The Horicon National Wildlife Refuge installed a heater to the Butler building in 2020 to create a heated storage building to house fire equipment with water tanks that will not freeze in weather below 32 degrees.

The building has a concrete floor, lights and outlets. A mezzanine is located in the southeast corner of the building. Pallet racks run along the west side of the building.

3. SCOPE:

• Contractor shall protect overspray from all building structures during work: lights, walls, doors, floors and any other building equipment or structure.

• Contractor shall apply a spray insulation of 2-inches R-14 that is warranted by the manufacturer to last the life of the building.

• Contractor shall exclude the roof, 2 service doors and 2 overhead doors.

• Contractor shall spray foam insulation behind all steel columns.

• Contractor shall expose conduit covers but spray foam insulation over all conduit.

• Contractor shall follow standard practice for spraying foam insulation around all overhead doors.

• Contractor shall be solely responsible for all deliveries relating to this project.

Refuge:

• Refuge will remove all equipment stored in the building from the work area before contracting work begins. All mezzanine and pallet racks will remain on site.

The work will be completed between January 3, 2022 and September 15, 2022. Any interruption of work greater than 10 business days must be approved in advance by the Contracting Officer.

The work shall be accepted when all the work is completed as described here within and in accordance with any contract specifications. Work shall be inspected to assure compliance with contract documents. Quality control and adherence to all contract requirements is still the responsibility of the contractor.

The station point of contact must complete written confirmation of the cleaning and observable quality control acceptance prior to payment authorization.
