About this file

This document is a technical specification for the procurement of replacement eccentric plug valves and appurtenances for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) Deer Island Treatment Plant. The specification details the requirements for the 316 stainless steel valves, including size, capacity, pressure rating, materials of construction, testing, delivery, storage and handling. The valves are to be used in the wastewater digester gas system, with 8-inch and 10-inch valves required, each to be gear-operated with handwheels. The specification outlines the applicable ASTM, ANSI, AWWA, and NFPA standards, as well as the required submittals including technical data, installation lists, and material certifications.

The valves must be furnished by a single equipment supplier and undergo specified shop testing prior to delivery. Delivery is to be made to the MWRA Deer Island Treatment Plant. No details are provided regarding pricing, funding sources, set-asides, or contract terms.
