About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) for Underwater Inspection Services at the Nut Island Treatment Plant under contract WRA-3043. The addendum provides answers to several questions raised by potential bidders, including the cost of the previous inspection ($165,668), the availability of the inspection report, the GPS coordinates of the outfall locations, the presence of a boat launch near the facility, and the prevailing wage requirements for divers. The addendum confirms that there are no known permits required for the work and that no external sonar mapping or inspection is needed beyond the visual inspection and cleaning of the outlets. Bids for this contract are due by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009.

The addendum does not provide any information regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient financial details. It focuses solely on clarifying technical aspects of the scope of work and responding to questions from potential bidders.
