Response to Questions #3: WPMH-14-0066 Below are the answers to the questions received after the due date posted in the solicitation, provided at the Contracting Officer’s discretion; questions in black, answers in red.
23. Would it be possible to be more specific as to how the services requested are envisioned to be performed? How are they being performed now, and is that what is desired for the new contract?
A. All Escort Guard Services under this contract will be performed on a “call-out”/as needed basis. Contractors are responsible for providing all requested escorts and all necessary supervision, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365/366 days a year.
Recurring services under section 13.c, typically take place on a fixed schedule, but the actual escort hours may vary on any given day, as requested by the designated GSA Project Manager.
Project specific services under section 13.b, may have a relatively fixed schedule for the life of the project or may vary daily/weekly. Project specific escorts may typically be requested a week in advance by the designated GSA Project Manager.
Continuous coverage services under section 13.a, are otherwise unscheduled escort services. Conditions on the WHC are extremely dynamic, often requiring last minute, on call 24/7, escort services. Continuous coverage services may be requested by a designated GSA Project Manager with a notice of a few days or as little as one (1) hour.
