COAST GUARD SECTOR DETROIT, MICHIGAN

26 AUGUST2020

1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT:

· Mobilze to the jobsite dispatch all necessary equipment, material and personnel

· All work to be preformed by ariel man-lift

· Perform a thorough water intrusion test,

· Determine entry point of water.

· If minor complete repairs onsite.

· Devolop recommended action plan based on results

· Clean area accordingly, all areas returned to prework condition

1.2 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED:

The Sector Detroit admin building has experienced severl water leaks seeming to enter via the window fixtures. Prior efforts to correct this issue has been unsuccessfull. Contractor is to conduct a water intrusion test on windows and surrounding area to determin point of entry for the water coming into the building. To remain cost effective this test shall be limited to one set of windows. The location to be tested is the 2nd floor North/East parking lot side. These window are for the PERS office and have leaked several times in the past.

2.1 SITE VISIT:

Those who desire access to the USCG Sector Detroit facility for bidding or work are to contact DC1 Daniel McDermott, or DCC Clifford Morgan. Contractors are to arrange a start work date with USCG Sector Detroit, MI

3.1 MILITARY REGULATION:

The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all Sector and facility regulations.

3.2 All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from DC1 Daniel McDermott or DCC Clifford Morgan or the Sector Detroit officer of the day.

3.3 The contractor’s equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification.

3.4 There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas.

3.5 All employed personel shall comply with state and federal facemask, and social distancing guiedlines as pertaining to the COVID19 pandemic.

4.1 WORK HOURS:

The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours, 0700-1600 Mon-Fri except during federal holidays.

4.2 Any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with DCC Clifford Morgan or DC1 Daniel McDermott, and agreed upon by all parties concerned.

5.1 LABORER WAGES:

Quote must reflect hourly wages prescribed by the Department of Labor in the attached Wage Determination Document provided by the Sector Detroit Contracting Officer.

6.1 CLEAN UP OF WORK AREA:

The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as adjacent affected areas.

6.2 Disposal of HAZ MAT shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.

7.1 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK:

Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through DC1 Daniel McDermott or DCC Clifford Morgan a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up. Completed work shall meet the written scope of work.
