Wind Tunnel Specifications.

.Push-pull wind tunnel comprised of clear acrylic flight chamber, an up-wind filtration and laminization system with adjustable blower to vary wind speed blown into the chamber, and a downwind adjustable speed blower to pull air upwind from the chamber with a wind speed range of 0-0.5 meter per second. System includes: flight chamber composed of a clear acrylic arena (16 in wide x 16 in high x 42 in long), three clear zero-profile access doors to flight chamber (2 on one side and one on the opposite side), one upwind air mixing chamber containing activated charcoal filters for conditioning incoming air and an adjustable blower, and one downwind chamber containing a blower for pulling air in a laminar fashion from the acrylic flight chamber. 120 V. Acrylic flight chamber capable of being dissembled and stored flat. Laminar air flow must be produced and maintained in the wind tunnel at all air speeds and must have the potential to be calibrated. Capable of evaluating insect flight responses to volatile chemicals.
.Automated Benchtop volatile assays system: Automated system of providing vacuum for air sampling through 6 units with 4 ports each. Specifically this needs to: consist of 6 flow-regulated sampling units, each sampling unit is capable of collecting at four different solenoid-activated timepoints and controlled by a programmable timer, each sampling unit has 4 ports each of which have a 40-micron particulate filter, has an adjustable flow meter from 0-2 liter per minute, Each channel is capable of vacuuming up to 2 liters per minute push fittings are used and connect to ¼” in vacuum hose, contains a vacuum regulator to maintain system pressure and a constant vacuum pressure flow rate, timer for start/stop, count down, count up and manual modes, have an easy program to start and stop with an ability to view ports currently in action and a timer to observe run times of each port. Must have a maximum pull flow rate of 2 liters per minutes and be compatible with a vacuum source of 3 SCFM@-40kPa.
.Filters for trapping volatile organic compounds from a small diameter airstream. Trapping filters must be: constructed with chemically inert materials and designed to allow air to pass through a chemical adsorbent to trap volatiles chemicals, contain 30 mg of the chemical adsorbent HayeSepQ, length of trap 8.8 cm, barrel diameter ¼”, tip diameter 4 mm, and adsorbent surface area per trap 17.5 m2, capable of repeated reuse after reconditioning with minimal loss of trapping efficiency or background contamination, designed to be operated at 0.05-1.2 liters of air per minute, capable of holding 50-200 ul of solvent for elution, made partially of glass and compatible for use with ¼” ID tubing. (10 traps) Number of items: 5 packs of 10 traps
.Calibration air flow meter capable of 0-4 Liter per minute range, no metering value, must be compatible with automated volatile assay system and contain PTFE tubing for connection and housed in protective casing with easy to view window. Includes shipping and handling and credit card charges
