WHEATRIDGE_RECREATION_CENTER_VOL_1_Part_2.pdf

The document is a detailed specification volume (Volume 1, Divisions 0-13) for the Wheatridge Recreation Center project, prepared by the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The specification volume contains comprehensive technical documentation for a recreation center construction or renovation project, covering multiple divisions of technical specifications. While the file itself is a technical specification document, the related contract opportunity summary indicates the city is specifically seeking contractors to replace existing lighting in the Recreation Center's Main Hall and Gymnasium with new energy-efficient LED lighting systems and integrated controls. The project (RFP 25-037) requires a turn-key solution involving lighting design, fixture installation, and complete electrical documentation. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2025, with proposals due by October 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm Mountain Time.

The city will utilize a best value procurement model, evaluating contractors based on qualifications, pricing, product quality, service capabilities, and alignment with municipal policies and budget. Contractors are expected to be local to Colorado and capable of completing the installation within a seven-day period in 2025, working around the recreation center's operational schedule. A performance bond will be required, and the contract includes provisions for potential multi-year engagement with annual renewal subject to the contractor's performance and pricing. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the project focuses on infrastructure modernization with an emphasis on energy efficiency, longevity, and safety of the facility's lighting systems. The evaluation process will comprehensively assess contractors' technical expertise, references, project approach, and overall value proposition.
