WHEATRIDGE_RECREATION_CENTER_VOL_1_Part_1.pdf

The document is a technical specification volume (Volume 1, Divisions 0-13) for the Wheatridge Recreation Center project, prepared by the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The specification document covers comprehensive technical details for a recreation center construction or renovation project, spanning 430 pages of detailed divisional specifications. While the specification volume provides extensive technical documentation, the accompanying state and local contract opportunity summary reveals a focused LED lighting replacement project for the Recreation Center's Main Hall and Gymnasium areas.

The contract opportunity, identified as RFP 25-037, seeks a turn-key LED lighting solution that includes design, fixture installation, and implementation of energy-efficient lighting systems with integrated controls. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2025, with proposal submissions due by October 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm Mountain Time. The city will utilize a best value procurement approach, evaluating contractors based on qualifications, pricing, product quality, and service capabilities. Contractors must be local to Colorado, capable of completing the installation within a seven-day period in 2025, and working around the recreation center's operational schedule. The project will require a performance bond, and the contract may be subject to annual renewal based on the contractor's performance and pricing.
