WHEATRIDGE_RECREATION_CENTER_VOL_1_Part_1.pdf

The file is a specification document for the Wheatridge Recreation Center, covering Divisions 0-13, prepared by the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The document appears to be a comprehensive technical specification volume for a recreation center project, containing 430 pages of detailed technical specifications. While the specification document itself does not provide explicit project details, the accompanying state and local contract opportunity summary indicates the city is seeking qualified contractors to replace existing lighting with new LED lighting systems in the Recreation Center's Main Hall and Gymnasium. The Request for Proposals (RFP 25-037) requires a turn-key lighting solution including design, fixture installation, and integrated controls, with a mandatory pre-proposal meeting scheduled for October 13, 2025, and proposal submissions due by October 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm Mountain Time.

The contract will be awarded using a best value procurement model, evaluating contractors based on qualifications, pricing, product quality, service capabilities, and alignment with city policies and budget. Contractors must be local to Colorado and capable of completing the installation within a seven-day period in 2025, working around the recreation center's operational schedule. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the project involves a comprehensive lighting infrastructure upgrade focusing on energy efficiency and modernization. The city will require a performance bond and maintains flexibility for potential multi-year engagement, with the ability to renew the contract annually based on contractor performance and pricing. The technical complexity suggests the project will require advanced technical expertise in LED lighting design and installation, with a focus on improving energy efficiency, longevity, serviceability, and safety of the facility's lighting systems.
