About this file

This document is a detailed delivery location map and instructions for the Santa Cruz Wharf Pilings project (IFB No. PK-0133), issued by the City of Santa Cruz. The document provides specific guidance for vendors delivering pilings to the Wharf Yard, including precise navigation instructions from Chestnut Street Park. Vendors are directed to enter the north side of the Wharf Yard by veering left from Chestnut Street, traveling down the fence line between the fence and railroad tracks to the lower gate. A City representative will unlock the gates, and vendors must offload pilings, stacking them according to unspecified quantity and row specifications. Delivery is restricted to between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The map includes an aerial view of the delivery location, with green and red arrows indicating the entry and exit routes for vendors. The document does not include pricing, funding details, or specific contract terms, but is part of a larger procurement effort for 50 70-ft and 10 75-ft polyurea-coated, ACZA treated, coastal Douglas Fir marine-grade pilings for the Santa Cruz Wharf construction project scheduled to begin in mid-September 2024. The instructions are specifically designed to ensure precise and controlled delivery of materials to the designated Wharf Yard location.

PILINGS

Vendors should navigate to the following address for Chestnut Street Park, the closest landmark to the Wharf Yard:

Chestnut Street Park 89 Chestnut St.

Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Once heading southbound on Chestnut St., vendors should enter the north side of the Wharf Yard by veering left from Chestnut St. If you arrive at the cul de sac adjacent to the park, you have gone too far.

Travel down the fence line on the eastern side between the fence and railroad tracks until arrival at the lower gate to the Wharf Yard. A City representative will need to unlock the gates. Vendors will need to pull through for offloading the piles, which should be stacked no more than X piles high in X rows. Upon delivery completion, vendors may exit back onto Chestnut St. through the same opening used for entry.

Note, delivery must occur between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:00PM.
