About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) for the 2024 Finger Lakes Region Wood Fiber contract opportunity. The RFQ seeks bids for the delivery of Engineered Wood Fiber for playground surfacing to 10 state park locations in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Vendors must provide certification that their product meets ASTM standards for impact testing, purity, quality, and accessibility. All deliveries must be completed by April 30, 2024.

The RFQ provides details on the required quantities for each delivery location, which range from 100 to 200 cubic yards. The response is due by March 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM. The contract will be awarded to the vendor with the lowest total cost. This is not a service-disabled veteran-owned set-aside contract. The RFQ lists three companies that have been awarded similar contracts by OPRHP within the past five years: Parkitects, Marturano Recreation, and Landscape Structures.
