About this file
This is Addendum 1 for Augusta University's Water Treatment Program, addressing submitted questions and changes to the bid document. The addendum clarifies key aspects of the water treatment contract, including chemical deliveries, implementation schedules, and subcontractor requirements. The implementation schedule has been modified to require submission within four weeks of contract award rather than the original August 1, 2024 deadline. A mandatory walkthrough was conducted on November 12, 2024, during which attending companies were permitted to collect water samples from any water source on the Augusta University Health Sciences Campus.
The current environment indicates that there has not been an annual contract in place for two years, though the systems have been chemically treated throughout 2024. Augusta University currently maintains 15 double-walled containers on campus, with additional storage tanks potentially required from the awarded contractor. The university requires "hands-off" delivery of water treatment products, specifying that university employees will not handle chemicals. The addendum confirms that subcontractors may be used for equipment installation outlined in Appendix A, with the primary contractor maintaining responsibility and supervision of subcontractors on university property. Historical data and treatment status will be provided to the awarded contractor upon request.
