About this file
The document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Town of Fraser, Colorado, for the Wapiti Bridge Culvert Void Grouting Project. The project involves rehabilitating three 10-ft x 7-ft elliptical arched corrugated steel culvert pipes located on Wapiti Street near Meadow Ridge Road, with the primary objectives of void grouting and riprap armoring to stabilize the inverts and eliminate scour and corrosion. The RFP was released on April 23, 2025, with proposals due by 5 PM on May 30, 2025, through Bidnet Direct. Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project site and submit questions by May 20, 2025. The Town anticipates the optimal construction timing to be either prior to May 1 or after September 1, with project completion required no later than November 15, 2025.
The proposal format requires contractors to submit an hourly rate sheet and a unit price proposal broken into four main categories: Lump Sum Mobilization, Lump Sum Water Control, Unit Price Grouting per cubic yard, and Lump Sum Riprap Armoring. The Town of Fraser is exempt from state sales and use tax on construction materials and requires contractors to maintain comprehensive general liability and automobile liability insurance with minimum coverage limits. No bid bond is required, and the Town intends to execute a standard Public Works Construction Contract with the most responsive proposal that best serves the town's and public's interests. Attached proposal documents include a Culvert Restoration Scope, Photo Log, and a Bridge Inspection Report from September 29, 2023.
