About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for federal service contracts in Virginia, specifically covering Botetourt, Craig, Franklin, Roanoke, and Salem counties.

The wage determination (No. 2015-4315, Revision 30, effective July 8, 2025) applies to all service contracts subject to the Service Contract Act and specifies minimum hourly wage rates for over 250 occupational classifications across multiple categories including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance and repair, general services and support, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling and packing, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective service, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation. For contracts entered into or renewed on or after January 30, 2022, the minimum wage rate is $17.75 per hour under Executive Order 14026, or $13.30 per hour under Executive Order 13658 for contracts awarded between January 1, 2015 and January 29, 2022 that were not renewed or extended after January 30, 2022. All covered workers must receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly) for standard contracts or $5.09 per hour for contracts also covered by Executive Order 13706 establishing paid sick leave. Additionally, all employees receive paid vacation accruing at two weeks after one year, three weeks after eight years, and four weeks after 15 years of service, along with a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Specific occupations with footnote designations receive additional compensation considerations including computer professionals exempt from certain wage requirements, air traffic controllers and weather observers receiving night and Sunday pay differentials, and workers in hazardous positions receiving 4-8 percent hazard pay differentials. Uniform allowances of $3.35 per week are required where applicable.
