Question and Responses W91ZLK-19-Q-0111

Tableau Software Training

1. Reading through the PWS, we are not clear about the level of detail that the US Army wants the Tableau training to cover in the class. There was one question on the Questions Doc about whether they have Tableau Server and Prep installed, and they indicated “no” and referred to a site that is inaccessible. Is there any more information available regarding what products under Tableau they want training for? Do you believe that they only want “off the shelf” material or do they need any custom or tailored content to meet their job skill training requirements?

Response: Training should be geared toward the Tableau Desktop user who is creating fully-featured dashboards. 'Off-the-Shelf" training will meet most, if not all, of the training requirements by providing an accelerated training over several (2-3) days that brings beginners up to speed quickly. Training should be geared towards fast learners and teaches concepts, techniques, and shortcuts to create Tableau data visualization competency in the shortest amount of time possible.

After the training, attendees should understand the basics of: connecting data and sources, terminology, building complex calculations and advanced chart types, use parameters, application of statistical techniques, advanced geographic techniques, visualization performance (data engines and extract basics), and how to build better and intuitive dashboards.

2. It appears that the subcontractors will need to complete AT Level 1 Training, iWATCH training, and SHARP training……is that correct?

Response: Yes - that is correct since you as the vendor will be coming on post.

3. Is it the intention that the training occurs on the CarePoint instance, on individual participant's GFE or on contractor provided laptops?

Response: Training will occur on GFE local at APHC. Vendor is to provide temporary software licenses for same and training materials. Training materials shall include mock content for purposes of demonstrating and student engagement of software features.
