1. Could you please tell me the total value of this contract the last time it was out for bid?
ANSWER: Contract # W91ZLK-15-P-0284 Total contract value $46,000.00 base plus 2 option years.
2. I have a question about downloading the map document on the above referenced bid. I cannot get it to get smaller, when I scale it down to size and go to print it; it resumes to the larger map. Can you help me with this. Other than bring all the paperwork, is there anything else I must do before do somebody comes.
ANSWER: Bring handheld tools/equipment that the contractor use to measure area. This will allow the contractor to accurately assess the work and bid appropriately. Tell the contractor to be prepared for rainy/inclement weather (boots, raincoats, etc.)
3. Is there anything that needs to be done to get on base for the pre-bid? I have been on different bases many times before and know that security measures change all the time.
ANSWER: Contractors need their license to receive a temporary visitor pass. They must enter the Rt. 24 gate. The visitor center is at the 24 gate on the right hand side. Enter visitor bldg. to rec'd visitor pass. Show your license and visitor pass to the guard.
4. Are H2B workers allowed to work on base for this project? (H2B is a government funded program that brings workers ( in our case Hispanic) into the state for a 10 month visa. They are not citizens but they have social sec #s and passports. The bottom line to my question is, are we only allowed to use US citizens for this contract?
ANSWER: We will have the answer to this at the site visit.
5. Will we be given the opportunity to measure the work sites or will we be provided the sizes of the properties we are to maintain?
ANSWER: Yes, bring hand held measuring tools.
6. Will we be provided landscape plans or a materials list for PRS#6, the 2 areas at 2400 that are to planted? If not, how are the bids going to be “apples to apples” if different companies provide different plans? I would suggest using an allowance for that line item if landscape plans or a material list is not provided.
ANSWER: They can assess these areas upon visit and ask questions.
