Specifications and Requirements

CLIN 0001: High definition video telemetry system, Vislink Brand Name. The high definition video telemetry system shall provide the means for the real time remote viewing of high definition weapon & sight video cameras, while systems such as the Abrams M1A2SEPv3 and Bradley M2A4 are under test. This is for test safety purposes in addition to real time engineering assessments. The Vislink system shall be capable of telemetering the increased resolution of the high definition video camera signals, provide low or no-loss compression (MPEG-2 and MPEG4) for each sensor (camera) HD-SDI signal, provide buffering for each sensor signal, digitize each sensor signal and receive and output the decompressed high definition video. A four input diversity receiver shall minimize video telemetry dropouts from destructive multi-path and temporary blockages between transmitter and receiver. The Vislink high definition video telemetry system shall meet or exceed the following specifications.

· Interoperate in close proximity with the existing VISLINK high definition video telemetry system without any modifications being required of the main units.

· Capable of transmitting and receiving one high definition video or a pair of standard definition videos, interoperable with existing VISLINK equipment in use.

· Utilize industry standard compression algorithms MPEG-2 and MPEG4, selectable by the operator.

· Transmitter capable of operating from 10 – 32 volt dc power.

· Transmitter capable of operating at two different RF output power levels, selectable by the operator.

· Serial and Ethernet ports shall be provided for means of operator setup and control.

· A front panel display and interface shall be provided on the transmitter and receiver units for the operator to view and change settings, as required.

· Transmitter shall be mountable in a low profile ATR fixture; receiver in a standard 19” equipment rack.

· All cabling to interconnect the system components shall be included, as required.

· Manuals: Manuals/electronic storage devices containing operating and maintenance instructions and drawings/schematics will be provided, as required.

· Warranty: A manufactures warranty covering all hardware and software for a minimum of one (1) year from date of delivery shall be included.

· Inspection and Acceptance of the items will be conducted at destination, by authorized government personnel.

· Safety Security Considerations-in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
