Questions and Answers Health Survey Services

Question – Please confirm that Moncrief, Army Health Clinic’s (MAHC) staff Health Physicist will be preforming the quarterly or Semi-Annual Nuclear Medicine License support audits.

Answer: Our Health Physics Service Office manages all Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements through DHA.

Question – Please confirm the awarded contracting physicist is not expected to perform any other evaluations, inspections, calculations, meeting attendance, or consultations beyond what is expressly noted in the RFQ.

Answer: The vender will only perform services as stated in the PWS/SOW

Question – If MAHC requests a “special call-back inspection” for a mammography unit, would you be requesting a shorter time frame response than the ten calendar days of notification as outlined in Section 9?

Answer: No

Question – If a shorter what exactly would that timeframe be?

Answer: N/A

Question – Can we submit the cost for inspection of equipment separately since we don’t know if, when, or how many times per year this could occur?

Answer: Yes. This contract covers the annual however we would use other means to acquire the survey if need be.

Question – Is the CT component of the SPECT/CT also ACR accredited? They normally are not.

Answer: It is not ACR accredited.

Question – Is it possible to schedule all equipment inspections over a two consecutive day period?

Answer: Yes however this is not recommended due to current schedules

Question – When are the inspections normally performed?

Answer: Based off of last inspections performed and can vary if repairs are made to the equipment.

Question – If necessary, how would travel expenses be invoiced?

Answer: Travel expenses should be wrapped into the contract and should be included in the service invoice.
