Statement of Work Chamber Acoustic Verification
The purpose of the contract is ensure the chamber meets secure services for acoustic testing to verify that chamber built meets 90% acoustic isolation required by the National Telecommunications Security Working Group (NTSWG) to complete TSG certification Testing.
Deliverable of this effort is to obtain a detailed noise floor report and an acoustic chamber qualification and certification report in both a bond copy and electronic PDF copy.
The requirement for the chamber acoustic verification will be performed IAW Acoustics — Test methods for the qualification of free-field environments: ISO 26101:2017 standards.
This testing and verification should include at a minimum:
Test the baseline noise levels within the chamber with and without HVAC equipment on. Compare the test data to ASHRAE noise criterion curves as well as provide the overall and 1/3 octave sound pressure levels within the chamber.
Measure the noise floor of the chamber in decibel A and Z-weighted.
Evaluate and review the door seals and other penetrations to document potential noise flanking paths into the chamber.
Utilize a loudspeaker test to evaluate potential flanking paths where noise may propagate into or out of the chamber.
Post process the data and provide the noise floor sound level with no HVAC, noise level with HVAC on, comparison to RC curves.
Measure and record the following utilizing type 1 sound level equipment:
Time and Date Person responsible and calculations Description of environment including dimensions and treatment of walls, ceiling and floor.
Sketch showing location of test sound source and unique features or non-uniformities.
Air temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure.
Equipment used for the measurements Sound source used Position of mathematical origin of the traverse for each test sound sources used Identification of traverse paths Locations and orientations of the Travers paths, any reflecting planes, bounding surfaces and assumed mathematical origin.
Star location for each path Test signal(s) and bandwidth Frequency range of interest Each path number of points and averaging time of each measurement
Provide a chart of sound pressure levels or deviations in the inverse square law.
Provide qualification criteria for the allowable deviation.
Evaluate the dimension and location of the anechoic space.
With source on and microphones signal at least 6 dB above background, measure in 15 second increments
Post-process the data and compare to inverse square law calculations.
Qualify the chamber based on the protocol outlined within ISO 26101.
Provide findings in a qualification reports and certify the chamber based on findings.
