Statement of Work (SOW) Bedding For Ceremonial Horses U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Regiment Caisson Platoon
1. Objective To provide the ordering and supply of Bedding for Fifty-Seven (57) horses. Bedding is used to pad the horses stall to prevent injuries and absorb the horses waste while being stalled The specs required are flake size medium-large, Compressed bag size =2.6 cubic ft. Coverage area = 8.0 cubic ft. made of 100% southern yellow pine, kiln dried to kill mold and insects, triple screened to remove dust, pallets covered with full length rain bonnet. Then stretched wrapped
2. Scope Upon request bedding shall be delivered on Twenty-eight (28) pallets per delivery with Forty-Five (45) bags per pallet making a total One Thousand Two hundred and Sixty (1260) bags per delivery. The vendor shall make a total of Twelve (12) deliveries per year. The deliveries shall be made within Twenty-Five (25) calendar days of the date when the order was placed.
3. Specific Tasks Acquire and deliver items per the scope of work.
4. Unsatisfactory Performance Item listed in section (2.) Scope, must be one hundred percent operational. Failure to perform to this scope would mean possible termination for default of the contract or nonpayment for services rendered due to the provision of a faulty product by the contracted party.
5. Hours of Operation Monday – Friday 0600 - 1630
6. Period of Performance This contract will be for One (1) base year with four One (1) Year options.
7. Place of Performance Deliveries shall be made to 102 Forrest Circle Joint Base Myer Henderson-Hall, VA 22211 Bldg. 236 Caisson Stables.
