W91QF5-21-QRP-0002-0001 – Questions and Answer
Question 1: The sale/site visit and the closing date are slated for 13 May 2021. The bid due date is 5 May 2021.
Could you please advise which the correct dates for each are?
Answer: Questions are due on 5 May 2021. Sealed bids shall be submitted by 10:00 a.m. on 13 May 2021. Bids will be announced starting at 10:30 a.m. on 13 May 2021.
Question 2: Including your installation, we currently do business with several QRP’s throughout the USA (Forts
Benning, Bragg, Jackson, Drum, Carson, etc.), none of which require full payment date of pickup. Most of them required a 0% to 80% deposit prior to pick up, balance due 15 to 30 days after receipt of invoice. Only one installation requires a 50% deposit, balance to be paid and mailed overnight the day after receipt at our facility. Our location and banking procedures make it impossible for us to generate a certified check and deliver it for the quantity removed on the same day, unless we send a certified check for the estimated 35,000 Lbs. Do you have the capability of reimbursing us when the removed quantity is less than the estimated quantity? If not, are you okay with one of the other payment methods stated above? Or do you have any other ideas that would work for both of our concerns?
Answer: We have no problem accepting payment after pickup. This will ensure accurate payment per the actual weight.
Question 3: Most standard commercial dump type transportation equipment is 12 ½’ tall. Do you have the capability to load this type of equipment? Do you have a dock where drive in loading can be accomplished?
Answer: We load the buyer’s truck with a large front-end bucket loader and have had no issues dumping into commercial dump trailers.
Question 4: Can you confirm how the government plans to sell the ammunition? Is it highest offer?
Answer: It will be sold to the highest bidder, the typical offer being Dollars per pound.
