W91QF0-19-Q-1008 SITE VISIT NOTES

A site visit was conducted at US Army Garrison Carlisle Barracks on 9 Aug 2019. In attendance were 5 representatives from 3 companies. Below is information that resulted from this visit.

· All pumps are electric.

· If a lift is needed to perform inspections/maintenance/repairs and one is not already on-site, the vendor is responsible for providing the equipment.

· Vendor will be provided with a radio when on-site for communication.

· Some buildings have sprinklers, but not all.

· Vendor is responsible for the disposal of all batteries. They must be removed from the post.

· LVCC/Bldg 313 is in the middle of installing a new system, vendors shall quote for the new system.

W91QF0-19-Q-1008 QUESTIONS

Two questions were posed as a part of the Q&A period.

1. Would it be possible to be provided with the most recent inspection report for the fire alarm systems? We are trying to get a snapshot of the device counts in each building.

· These have been added as a separate attachment to the solicitation.

2. We noticed during the walkthrough that the sprinkler system backflow preventers did not have inspection tags on them. Are the annual inspections of the sprinkler system backflow preventers not included as part of this solicitation?

· The backflow preventers are not part of this solicitation, but the valves that isolate them are. Also, we have not required them to be tested, but if one has a catastrophic failure, we would most likely use this contract for replacement or repair.
