Night Vision Binoculars – Bosnia 13 June 2025

Question #1:

The Statement of Work references 14x Discovery 5X Gen II Night Vision Binoculars, but it does not include detailed technical specifications.

Could you please clarify if the contract requires any specific technical requirements? For example:

• Is there a required tube color? Yes, the required tube color is green (tube color: green lighting).

• Is a specific FOM (Figure of Merit) required? No specific FOM is required. FOM is not defined, but the highest acceptable value is expected. Therefore, it is not necessary to specify an exact FOM, but the device should meet the highest acceptable standard for performance. However, FOM must not exceed 1600.

• Any other specifications we should be aware of? Yes, the following additional specifications should be considered:

o The device should be from Generation II+ or III (high-performance Generation II+ and state-of-the-art Generation 3 image intensifier tubes).

o The detection range (acquiring range) should be over 1000 meters (3000 yards).

o Magnification options should be 5x, 6x, or 10x (depending on price and availability).

o The temperature range should be from -20 to +45 degrees Celsius.

o The device should be resistant to shock and moisture.

o A tripod should be available for static observation.

o The device must have automatic flash protection
