QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. PWS, 1.1. Scope of Work-The section states: The Contractor shall provide operable internet service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to an average of 1,000 Air Force users on Kandahar Airfield (KAF) with an average bandwidth utilization of 155 Mbps. Section 2.1.

Performance Objectives, table line 1 requires 155 Mbps Internet Service per user.

Question: Can you confirm that 155 Mbps dedicated to each user are required or the overall network bandwidth should be 155 Mbps?

Answer: It is a 155 Mbps dedicated uplink to the base.

2. PWS, 1.7.1. Internet Hardware and Infrastructure Requirements-Contractor shall provide all hardware and infrastructure external to KAF and all internal hardware and infrastructure not currently installed/in use or provided as spares by the government required to ensure the system meets specified performance objectives, to include but not limited to, satellite dishes, cables, switches, receiver, power systems, wireless access points, and routers.

Question: Considering that the PWS requires the contractor to price in hardware and infrastructure provision and installation, can we receive network/infrastructure plan showing nodes, user stations, access points that will be required as end-state system and current available network/infrastructure plan in order to assess the hardware and infrastructure requirements?

Answer: As you can see everything stems from the MoraleNet Core Node that is located here on KAF. From there the fiber is laid underground to the existing sites also labeled in the diagram attached. Unfortunately I cannot give a detailed map as to where these sites are on base due to Opsec.

3. Government Furnished Contractor Support-Installation Access Badge is approved in the summary for type of support the Government will provide to the contractor.
