Questions for W91364-12-R-0029:

SHOWERS:

1. Are the benches to be 24" tall and 24" wide?

-only requirement is 24" tall. Width may be bases on shower size and use of space

2. Do you want the walls and the ceiling of the shower stalls to be stainless steel?

- there is no requirement for any stainless steel, and walls and ceiling should be "rubberized spray-in floor

3. I also highly recommend exposing the plumbing as in the pictures attached for easy repairs if there is are any leaks or damage – it is very clean and will pay dividends.

- that is adequate

4. If you want floor drains you are going to have to install a raised floor. With the raised floor and the insulation in the ceiling there will not be very much head room. I Recommend you specify 20' High Cubes (9'6" Tall) This will allow for the 8" Raised floor (For the plumbing and floor drains) and the 4" Ceiling (R-15 Insulation) that will consume a total of 12"+ of interior head room. An 8'6" tall unit only has about 8' of interior height to start with. Additionally, to provide head room for light fixtures, emergency lighting and smoke detectors the High Cube is highly recommended.

-Height may be 9’

5. The specification references basins not being needed if there are floor drains?

-basins are acceptable

6. Is the HVAC system required to fit within the ISO Container exterior dimensions? That is to say can the HVAC system extend beyond the ISO footprint?

-request is for all components to be interior

7. I would recommend specifying the flow rate at the shower heads to be a minimum of 1.5 GPM and that the water heating system must be able to provide a heat rise of at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit with ALL the showers running simultaneously. This makes a big difference in the inline heating system selected.

- 1.5 is acceptable, min requirements

8. Please specify the types of water, waste, gas and power connections required. Will the connections to the water and waste lines be Cam Lock type fittings or threaded fittings? Will the power connection be a hard wired connection or will a power connector be needed?

-cam lock, most logical military standards

9. Will the water arrive at the unit under pressure or will the unit be required to pressurize the water from a tank system?

-pressurized acceptable

10. Will the waste leaving the units have to be pressurized/pumped out or will a gravity system suffice? These systems allow for various setup configurations.

-pressurized acceptable

11. Will an exterior dusk to dawn sensor equipped light be required on the access door?

-NO

12. Will Fork Pockets be required to move these units with a fork lift or loader?

-yes

13. Will panic hardware be required on the access door for emergency egress?

-No

14. Will the access door require a lockable door?

-yes

15. Will the access door be required to be a metal exterior door?

-yes

SINKS:

1. (6) Electrical outlets need to be GFI protected -yes

2. Are the walls and ceilings required to be stainless steel?

-no

3. Highly recommend the ISO High Cube for floor drains and ceiling height for the light fixtures and smoke detectors etc. The floor drains are a critical element for cleaning and sanitation and are required in OSHA standards.

-acceptable

4. Again - Please specify the types of water, waste, gas and power connections required. Will the connections to the water and waste lines be Cam Lock type fittings or threaded fittings? Will the power connection be a hard wired connection or will a power connector be needed?

-cam lock, most logical military standards

5. Will the water arrive at the unit under pressure or will the unit be required to pressurize the water from a tank system?

-pressurized acceptable

6. Will the waste leaving the units have to be pressurized/pumped out or will a gravity system suffice?

-pressurized acceptable

7. Will an exterior dusk to dawn sensor equipped light be required the the access door?

-NO

8. Will Fork Pockets be required to move these units with a fork lift or loader?

-Yes

9. Will panic hardware be required on the access door for emergency egress?

-No

10. Will the access door require a lockable door?

-Yes

11. Will the access door be required to be a metal exterior door?

-Yes

12. Specify low flow sink faucets – 0.5 –1.5 GPM to reduce the demand on the water heater. Water heater for these units should be capable of meeting max demand at 7-9 Gpm depending on the faucets.

-min requirements

13. can we use ISO CERTIFIED one-use containers?

-YES
