REQUEST FOR INFORMATION:
QUESTION 1: SSHO requirements are stated to be a SSHO level 3, CP or QP. Generally, SSHO (most often Level 1) shall not have any other responsibilities on the jobsite. Will the level 3 SSHO be allowed to dual hat?
RESPONSE 1: Yes, a Level 3 SSHO is permitted to dual hat responsibilities.
QUESTION 2: There is no reference to AAMP QP-1, QP-2, or QS-1. Please clarify if these are requirement for the contractor performing the work.
RESPONSE 2: AAMP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance) QP-1, QP-2, or QS-1 certifications are not required.
QUESTION 3: A topcoat color was not referenced, please clarify if it is to be aluminum like the original color.
RESPONSE 3: Refer to Part 2. Products, Overcoat Product, 3 d. of the Statement of Work.
QUESTION 4: Will any items be required to be removed from the cleaning and coating limits?
RESPONSE 4: Refer to Part 3. Execution, Notes, iv. of the Statement of Work.
QUESTION 5: Just want to clarify the top flange limit is only to include the top of the top flange and not the bottom side?
RESPONSE 5: Refer to Part 3 Execution, b. Top Flanges and Expansion Joint Cover Plates of the Statement of Work.
QUESTION 6: What are the allowable workdays and hours?
RESPONSE 6: Refer to section I.4. Schedule of the Statement of Work. Typically, there is flexibility on the hours and days that can be worked, but it is dependent on other factors and is completely situational.
QUESTION 7: Where are the contractors designated lay down area for the project? I do see there is a storage and staging area designated on the SITE PLAN, however that is not in close proximity to the project for a laydown area. Can the cul-de-sac turnaround area at the end of the bridge be used for a designated laydown area for the project for the period of performance?
W912WJ25QA0940001
RESPONSE 7: The cul-de-sac cannot be used as a lay down area. Day to day trailers can be brought to the bridge area and kept alongside the guardrail but would need to be removed and brought up to the storage area designated on the site plan at the end of each day.
