Question 1: What is to be done with the stumps that are left? Can they be left on site?

Answer: The layout of the water line should be such that cutting is minimized to the maximum extent practicable.

Stumps and small brush may be left on site on Government property in a way so as to not impede access to the area.

Question 2: Who is the water supplier? Who is liable for the tap?

Answer: Connecticut Water is the water supplier. It is recommended that contractors contact Connecticut Water to determine who can tap the line. Connecticut Water may indicate that only they can tap and may require payment to tap. These costs should be included in the quote.

Question 3: What are the power boards located on the path from the park up the hill for?

Answer: Power comes from Rt. 254 through the park and terminates at these boards. The power supplies the pumps that are located in the black plastic well.

Question 4: Is the water line location known for the private residence in the vicinty of the tap location?

Answer: The water line location is not known for 560 Michelle Lane. Other utilities may also be located in the area (power).

Question 5: Are there any provisions for ledge for excavation for the water line from along the park entrance road to the restrooms?

W912WJ20Q0020

Answer: The intent is to keep the water line as close to the road as possible. There are no provisions for ledge at this time.
