Performance Work Statement (PWS) NHARNG Shop Towel Service
Vision Statement
Provide clean shop towels and coveralls to New Hampshire National Guard (NHNG) maintenance facilities sufficient to support maintenance operations, and removal and laundering of solvent contaminated shop towels IAW State and Federal Law.
1.1 Mission
The Guard's readiness for mission in-state and overseas depends on our maintenance activities’ ability to maintain NHNG’s arms and equipment, and keep the fleet mission capable. Clean shop towels and coveralls are the cornerstone to keeping the NHNG’s equipment ready.
1.2 Background
The NHNG's use shop towels and coveralls in the course of daily operations. Shop towels become contaminated in use, and per New Hampshire State Environmental Regulation, solvent-contaminated wipes (i.e. shop towels) must be removed for laundering within 180 days from first accumulation to be exempt from classification as a hazardous waste. The towels and coveralls require washing in a State and Federal approved facility. Once cleaning is performed, the cleaned product will be swapped with soiled product before becoming hazardous waste.
1.3 Scope
The project includes delivery, pick-up, and laundering of shop towels and coveralls for multiple locations in New Hampshire.
