About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for comprehensive maintenance services on one 600kW Elliot Magnatek Diesel Generator and its associated Cutler Hammer Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance services.
Preventative maintenance is required on a quarterly basis (four times per year) and includes inspections of the cooling, fuel, exhaust, lubrication, and electrical systems, as well as the ATS and general condition checks. Annual preventative maintenance includes all quarterly tasks plus engine oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, coolant filter changes, a two-hour load bank test under full load, insulation resistance testing on generator windings, and fuel quality analysis. For non-emergency corrective maintenance identified during preventative visits, the contractor must provide a written "Not to Exceed" estimate including estimated hours, hourly rate, material costs, and completion date, with written facility manager approval required before work commences. Emergency maintenance services must be available 24/7 with a two-hour response time to site; an emergency is defined as any failure preventing the generator or ATS from performing its intended function. The contractor is responsible for qualified and licensed personnel, compliance with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations, and proper environmental disposal of waste materials including used oil, filters, and coolants. Detailed service reports documenting all checks, issues found, and corrective actions must be provided after each visit, and a complete service history must be maintained. The contract term is one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement.
