About this file

This file contains six detailed bathymetric survey maps showing vibracore sampling locations for a US Army Corps of Engineers project in the Hatteras Ferry-Rollinson Channel and Big Foot Slough Channel-Silver Lake Harbor areas of North Carolina. The maps display the locations of 71 total planned vibracore samples: 36 vibracores in the Hatteras Ferry and Rollinson Channels area (shown in Figures 1, 3, and 4) and 35 vibracores in the Silver Lake Harbor and Big Foot Slough Channel area (shown in Figures 2, 5, and 6).

Each map includes bathymetric data color-coded by depth (ranging from -4 feet and shallower to -15 feet and deeper), navigation aids, channel markers, and proposed navigation corridor expansions. The maps show detailed coordinates for each vibracore location, with depths ranging from 0 to -15 feet MLLW or greater. The maps include typical cross-sections showing 12-foot channel widths and include legends identifying navigation aids, channel markers, and bathymetric depth ranges. All maps note that the bathymetry represents conditions at time of survey and is subject to change.

Figure 1. Vibracore locations within Hatteras Ferry and Rollinson Channels. This area contains 36 x vibracores, 10- to 20-foot long each. The coordinates are provided in Table 1. The mapped bathymetry represents the conditions at the time of survey and is subject change.

Figure 2. Vibracore locations within in the vicinity of Silver Lake Harbor and Big Foot Slough Channel. This area contains 35 x vibracores, 10- to 20-foot long each. The coordinates are provided in Table 2. The mapped bathymetry represents the conditions at the time of survey and is subject change.
