About this file
This justification and approval document authorizes a sole source award to Grundy Government Services for the refurbishment of Hangar J at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The facility was damaged during Hurricane Irma and requires installation of a new Soprema brand roofing system consisting of mechanically fastened polyiso insulation, Sopraboard, and Sopralene membrane and cap sheets. Stainless steel flashing, gutters, and downspouts will also be provided. As the existing roof is also Soprema, using matching brand name products is necessary to ensure full warranty coverage. The related solicitation was posted on FBO as a notice of intent to make a sole source award, allowing opportunity for alternative proposals, though none were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will issue the award to Grundy Government Services.
