AMENDMENT 0001

The purpose of this amendment is to change paragraph of “ADDENDUM TO FAR 52.212-1”.

The changes are in yellow. See below for details.

The purpose of this amendment is to reply to the following Request for Information:

Question 1: How many hours are you going to work with the machines in a day per day?

Answer: It is impossible to calculate how many hours the machine works day by day, because it depends from the workload the Requesting Activity receives each month, so it can happen that in one month it could work from 10 to 15 hours, and another one for 50 to 60 hours.

Questing 2: Shall we calculate usage for unlimited hours?

Answer: It is up to you. The usage of the machine depends on the workload.

Question 3: Which kind of work are you going to do with the machine? Logistics or…?

Answer: The machine is used to load and unload trailers or rail trucks, move items from a location to another, load, unload and move 20 feet empty containers (with the big one).

Question 4: How much you have to drive (in meters) with the machines loaded and how much you have to drive with the machines unloaded?

Answer: It depends from where the item shall be moved. Tires need to be replaced any time are worn out or broken. Be advised that the machine, in particular the big one, has to work on graveled and paved surfaces. The small one on paved surfaces, and inside warehouses.

Question 5: Could you share the previous contract if there was one serving this particular need?

Answer: This is not a new requirement and is currenty being satisfied by 5 (five) contracts.

Question 6: Concerning the following clause could this be issued by our Italian subcontractor?

252.222-7003 PERMIT FROM ITALIAN INSPECTORATE OF LABOR (JUNE 1997) “Prior to date set for commencement of work and services under this contract, the Contractor shall obtain the prescribed permit from the Inspectorate of Labor having jurisdiction over the work site, in accordance with Article 5g of Italian Law Number 1369, dated October 23, 1960. The Contractor shall ensure that a copy of the permit is available at all reasonable times for

Inspection by the Contracting Officer or an authorized representative. Failure to obtain such permit may result in termination of the contract for the convenience of the United States Government, at no cost to the United States Government.

Answer: No. It could not be issued by your Italian sub-contractor. It is Prime Contractor’s responsibility to obtain all the permits to perform the service.

Question 7: Shall the Self-certification for Antimafia communication be signed only by our Italian subcontractor? Our company is a SAM registered company.

Answer: No, the Self-certification for Antimafia communication cannot be signed by your sub-contractor. It shall be signed by the Prime Contractor.

Question 8: As per paragraph 1.7 Page 74 of 128 and from our understanding is that our personnel could perform the service / maintenance of the machine at the site. Could you please confirm this? 1.7 Occasional repairs / inspection may take place within the Army Depot outside of storage and maintenance bays. Contractor is to utilize their own tools as necessary.

Answer: It is confirmed.
