If for any reason, the Contractor is unable to complete repairs within 48 hours after being notified by the KO, the Contractor shall inform the COR, provide valid justification why repairs cannot be made, and make diligent efforts to return the crane or hoist to service as soon as possible. Each crane may not remain in a non-mission capable status for more than five days unless justification provided and approved by the KO. Valid justification include repair part manufacture and delivery times. Delays due to contractor’s inability to manage schedules will not be acceptable. The Contractor shall survey the repair, and provide the KO with an estimated completion time and cost of repairs, not covered in the basic service contract. The Contractor shall commence repair work only after notification from the KO. Downtime of the crane/hoist will be kept to an absolute minimum. The Contractor must notify COR of all projected downtime and estimated time for repair. Should removal of the equipment from the work site be required for repair, the

Once approved by the KO, the contractor shall make all repairs within 48 hours pending availability of parts. The contractor shall furnish parts specified by the manufacturer or of equal or better quality.

All repair parts will be verified by the COR for approval via the KO.

If repairs are disapproved by the Government, the cranes/hoist will be removed from service and "red tagged" by the contractor. The government will furnish red tags to lock out disabled equipment. Contractor must follow government “lock out” procedures.

If contractor successfully performs quarterly inspection and required quarterly preventive maintenance on the equipment, requirements for repairs are minimal. Historical data shows no critical failures due to successful preventive maintenance over the past four years. For this reason, the contractor’s warranty on their services will be handled via a limit of liability. This limit of liability is set at 500 Euro. All repairs costs will be reimbursed to the contractor above this 500 Euro limit of liability. The contractor will provide a cost estimate to be approved by the contracting officer for all repairs showing labor hours/cost and material costs separately. The contractor is required to complete all repairs as part of the contractor’s warranty for their maintenance services and only be reimbursed for costs, including the sum of parts and labor, above the 500 Euro limit of liability.

Prior to emergency repairs, the contractor shall report to the AFSBn Africa Engineering office and sign into the Cranes/Hoists logbook for this contract. After emergency services are performed, the contractor will sign out of the logbook. Failure to sign in/out of this logbook could result in non-payment of services.

The Contractor shall prepare and submit a written report within five (5) work days after the repairs are completed.

The report shall include the date and time of the service call, the unit number of the crane or hoist, the repairs performed costs of repairs and the name of the technician performing the repairs. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

2.1 Performance Requirements Summary (PRS).

The contractor’s service requirements are summarized into performance objectives that relate directly to mission essential items and contractual requirements. Performance objectives define the desired outcomes. Performance standards define the level of service required under the contract to successfully meet the performance objective.
