Q&AS
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1. Caserma Ederle DFAC - is the main water softener included in equipment to be maintained?
R1. Yes, see line 74 on Technical Exhibit 02 "Inventory DFAC Ederle".
Q2. Caserma Ederle SSMO - is SSMO excluded form preventive maintenance visits or is included in Ederle DFAC one?
R2. Preventive maintenance on the SSMO is not required. The equipment is included in Technical Exhibit 02 "
Inventory DFAC Ederle " (lines 83 and 84).
Q3. Caserma Ederle MENSA - is the main water softener included in equipment to be maintained?
R3. The water softener has been incorporated with this amendment. See Technical Exhibit 4a “NEW UPDATED
Inventory Mensa Ederle” (line 50).
Q4. Caserma Del Din DFAC - are the washing machines included in equipment to be maintained?
R4. Yes, they are included. See lines 106 and 107 of Technical Exhibit 01 "Inventory DFAC Del Din".
Q5. Paragraph 2.3.1.1 of the PWS: does this paragraph means that the Government will pay all spare parts and the maintenance fee (CLINs 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004) only covers the work hours?
R5. The Government’s intent is for the vendor to provide Firm-Fixed pricing for the scheduled maintenance and all parts and materials related to the scheduled maintenance (as recommended by the manufacturer). Any parts or materials necessary to conduct a repair that is not a part of the scheduled maintenance will utilize the Time and
Materials CLINs (0005,0006,0007,0008 and related option yearCLINs). The vendor will not be reimbursed separately for labor related to unscheduled maintenance repairs and must include this in Firm-Fixed Price CLINs
0001, 0002, 0003, 0004, and related option year CLINs.
Q6. Concerning the site visit of 24th May on Camp Darby Mensa, we have some questions to submit to you:
a) is the walk-in cooler included in equipment to be maintened?
b) are the dishwashers included in equipment to be maintened?
R6. The walk-in cooler is not part of this contract; the dishwashers are (see Technical Exhibit 03 "Inventory Mensa
Camp Darby").
Q7. Unscheduled Maintenance (point 2.2.1.1 - PART 2, SPECIFIC TASKS): in my opinion, if, during a
Preventive Maintenance Visit, the technician finds some spare part to be replaced (excluded consumable:
screws, bolts, ecc.) if the cost is under € 500,00, he can replace it, and the spare part cost will be charged in ITEM NO 0005/0006/0007/0008, with no authorization of the COR. Is this observation correct?
R7. See answer to Q5 above and paragraph 2.3.1.1 of the PWS.
Q8: What type of payment is provided for invoices? 30 days?
R8. Invoices are paid within 30 days from the COR acceptance date in WAWF.
