ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
The following information is provided as answers to questions submitted to the contracting officer:
1. How many students (maximum) would be allowed to sign up for each class, per term?
Answer: A maximum of twenty (20) students can sign up for a class.
2. Is my understanding correct that there would be 360 hours total for Item 0001. 4 hours per class x 15 days per term x 6 terms = 360 hours total?
Answer: The total number of class hours is a maximum of 182. The classes are 2 hours and there will be a maximum of 91 classes taught each year due to holidays..
3. Are field trips scheduled as part of the 360 total hours per item? So instead of attending a class in the classroom one week, a field trip is scheduled for that time normally spent in the classroom, correct?
Answer: Field trips are a part of total number of hours.
4. My understanding is that instructor resumes are required. Due to privacy policies, we typically “black out” personal information, such as phone, address, etc.. Is that acceptable?
Answer: Our evaluations are very secure and all documentation is shredded after the contract is awarded. Please remove any social security numbers. Full names and addresses should be provided for the evaluation process.
5. Are the instructor resumes submitted with the solicitation package the only instructors acceptable, or during the course of the training, if a switch or change needs to be made due to sickness or unforeseen circumstances/changes in availability, how would that be handled? Is it acceptable to submit a new resume at that time upon replacement or substitution?
Answer: It is very important to have an instructor available for each class. The contractor will be expected to work with the requiring activity POC for any replacements/subcontractors due to illness, etc. This must be cleared and approved through ACS in advance as stated in the solicitation.
6. Is my understanding correct that option Item 1001 and 2001, if exercised, are to occur in the same 12 month performance period of 1 AUG 2016 to 31 July 2017 as written in the solicitation? Items 1001 and 2001 are not for years that follow, for example, 1 AUG 2017 to 31 July 2018, and 1 AUG 2018 to 31 July 2019.
Answer: The period of performance is provided in the PWS. This modification provides changes to the solicitation as follows:
Period of Performance:
Base Period: 29 August 2016 - 28 August 2017 First Option: 29 August 2017 - 28 August 2018 Second Option: 29 August 2018 - 28 August 2019
This may be adusted at the time of award.
