QUESTIONS FROM INDUSTRY
Question 1:
IFB: Clause 52.211-12: What is meant by Liquidated Damages €332.30 per quarter? I understand daily for stairwells.
Answer 1: 52.211-12 (a) states: If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages in the amount of Euro 332.20 for each quarter for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. This means that if the work in a house/apartment etc is not completed in time, the amount of Euro 332.20 will be assessed for each day of delay from until the house/apartment is completed.
Question 2:
Request the contract number and name of contractor who has the contract at the moment?
Answer 2: Contract Number: W912PB18D8100
Contractor: Frank GmbH, Roemweg 2,92358 Seubersdorf Question 3:
Specification Item 003BF: The removal is only 5 cm thick, but application is over 6 cm thick, which would mean it comes higher than before, example: doors may have to be shortened etc. these items would then be paid extra?
Answer 3: The item description is correct. The item specifies that 6 cm up to 8 cm will be removed (5 cm concrete floor screed plus 1 cm up to 3 cm insulation).
New installation is 6 cm up to 9 cm thick.
Question 4:
Specification Item 004AT: Per the price schedule, you have 500 jobs per year. Is this a good figure?
Answer 4: This is the Government’s estimate.
Question 5:
Specification Item 004BU: (We are using this item as an example, there are many more items like this) Are there any Brand names or Equal or is it left up to the contractor to decide what he installs?
Answer 5: There are no “Brand names or Equal“ items in the specification. The quality of work and products must comply with the description in the specification.
Question 6:
Historical data of the Task Orders issued for the previous full year (12 month) for all of types/rates of works
Answer 6: In fiscal year 2019, 146 task orders were issued. Individual types of work cannot be provided, as the specification items of the current contract and the solicitation do not correspond. There is not enough personnel to perform the time consuming request to compare all the ordered items of each task order with the current contract and the solicitation.
Question 7:
What is the peak time of the Task Orders issued (the period of the year or month)
Answer 7: May through September Question 8:

Question 9:
What is the number of leased quarters (private houses) supposed to be maintained?
Answer 9: Currently there are 1743 leased quarters, however that number can change any time.
Question 10:
