The following items are applicable to this modification:

Summary of Changes:

The purpose of this amendment is the following:

A. To answer vendor questions B. To show relevant pictures

A: Vendor questions

Targets & UXO's Question 1: During the visit it was mentioned one target per day had to be disposed. Who chooses which targets and which amount of targets are to be removed within a certain time limit? (for example, are we free to remove two targets within the morning time slot?).

Answer: The contractor will get a terrain (for example Range 301) to remove marked used targets. It is his choice how much he can remove per day.

Question 2: The contract speaks only of disposal concerning the metal hard targets. During the site visit replacement was mentioned. Is replacing the disposed target with a new target part of the contract?

Answer: Contractor will not place new targets. New targets will be placed by in house workers when needed.

Question 3: The contract speaks of an estimated 520t of scrapped metal. How many estimated targets have to be disposed? (For example, x number of tanks and x number of jeeps. Thus we can better indicate the workload since a single tank weighs a lot more than a jeep or a truck).

Answer: Since different targets have different weights. This question cannot be answered by numbers.

Question 4: What are the procedures when the 520t is exceeded within one year?

Answer: When the 520t limit is reached, we stop for that specific year.

Question 5: Will the range be in use in between of the given time slots for removal of the single targets? (Or will the range only be used after all targets are replaced?)

Answer: The ranges are mostly in use during removal of the old targets. Therefore the contractor will work mostly during down times.

Question 6: Which types of ammunition and/or explosives are used at the range?

Or is there a possibility to gain this information during execution of the contract.

Answer: NATO and former soviet military ammunition. Ammunition used by the police. Also ammunition used during WW2.

Question 7: Can we expect the presence of depleted uranium?

Answer: No.

Machinery Question 8: What is the maximum weight allowed for the machinery used in the disposal process?

Answer: Contractor should calculate the machinery according his working method. He also is responsible for the risk. We do not have a load limitation.

Question 9: Is there a possibility to create a logistics depot on the base? (to park our machinery overnight)

W912PB19Q3138

Answer: During work on a terrain, we will give the contractor an area outside the impact zone to store his machinery.

Miscellaneous Question 10: Is there an infrastructural map available regarding roads, ranges and maybe even location of the targets on the ranges?

Answer: Maps showing the terrain will be given to the contractor before starting a new terrain.

Question 11: Are there any Natura2000 or any other flora and fauna regulations or limitations?

Answer: No.

Question 12: We assume it's possible to work on the scrap-assembly area's between the time slots of the range. Is that correct?

Answer: Yes!

Site visit questions:

Question 13: Does the impact area need to be cleared?

Answer: Only the path for removal of targets if necessary, unless the target can be pulled out without clearing.

Question 14: What is the maximum weight of targets?

Answer: Approximately 50-60 tons.

Question 15: What is the contractor allowed to leave on base?

Answer: Equipment can be left on base since an area will be provided to store it. However, the storage is at the contractor’s risk.

Question 16: When will the contractor receive notice if an option year will be exercises?

Answer: The contractor will be given notice at least 30 days prior. At least 15 days prior to the end of period of performance, the contractor will receive the contract modification exercise of option. If these time lines are not met, the modification will be bilateral and require the contractor to sign.
