1.5. Spare parts
The gen-set manufacturer shall guarantee that spare parts can be supplied for at least 10 years after the final acceptance. The Contractor will install only mechanical and electrical equipment that allows for expedient warranty or repairs and for which spare parts are readily available in Belgium.
2. OPERATION
The generator is designed to supply emergency power to part of or all of the power load in case of mains failure.
Automatic operation mode:
In case of main failure or voltage drop in comparison with nominal voltage, detected by the mains detection relay, adjustable from 0 to 5 sec, the emergency gen-set will automatically become operational.
As soon as the gen-set reaches the necessary voltage and frequency limit, the mains/emergency switch in the low voltage panel receives the signal to change over from mains supply to gen-set supply. The change over from mains to emergency power has to happen within 15 seconds.
Upon mains return (adjustable from 0 to 5 minutes) the generator will synchronize with the network, the change-over switches will again switch over to mains supply without power outage. The gen-set continues to run unloaded for a time which has been preset between 0 to 5 minutes.
Test mode:
For maintenance purposes, it should be possible to perform full load tests without impacting the power supply of the facility.
