Service Base – Navigation Section POTTER Water Filter System Tanks

Scope of Work

1. GENERAL

The work to be done by the Contractor under these specifications consist of furnishing and delivering to the Service Base, in accordance with the specifications: (3) multimedia filter ASME steel tanks. All items must meet Buy American Act.

2. SCOPE OF WORK:

2.1 REPLACE MULTIMEDIA FILTER TANKS:

2.1.1 Contractor shall furnish and install 3 new raw water multi-media filter tanks.

Original tanks are vertical style tanks that meet ASME Steel tank requirements 118 inch diameter, 78 inches high, and 300 Gallon capacity. The current tanks are Alamo Water Refiners, Inc certified to a maximum allowable working pressure of 100 psi at 200F, minimum design metal temperature of 20F at 100 psi. All inlets and outlets are 2 inch connections. The 3 tanks have with automated valves and spider laterals in the bottom. The new tanks must physically fit and be able to properly connect to all current connection points. New tanks may be a Culligan CSM-362D, or similar, Contractor must ensure proper size of tanks. Drawings of the existing system are available upon request.

2.1.2 All three tanks purchase must work with the existing line-sets and electrical support. All items must be able to fit in the same footprint as the current items.

Any item that will have a larger footprint than the existing tanks must be brought to the attention of the USACE representative with approval received before tanks are ordered.

2.2 TRANSPORTATION:

2.2.1. Contractor shall provide full transportation of all items to the Service Base in St.

Louis, MO.

2.2.1.1 Delivery timeframes are Monday-Thursday 0700-1500.

Notice shall be given to the Contracting Officer or COR 3 work-days in advance of final delivery of items.

EPA Designated (CPG): Under the Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines (CPG) program, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designates products that are or can be made with recovered materials, and recommends practices for buying these products. Any designated product that is being offered or supplied under this contract shall meet the minimum recommended content levels as identified under the CPG program. Visit http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/conserve/tools/cpg/products for a complete list of designated products and the associated recommended content levels. Offerors must be able to demonstrate that each offered product meets minimum content levels upon request.
